Link Health Awarded Life Science Cares Boston Health Equity Grant

BOSTON, MA – January, 2025

Link Health is thrilled to announce that we have been selected as one of the ten new recipients of Life Science Cares Boston’s (LSC Boston) new Health Equity Grant. This prestigious grant, part of a $2,215,000 initiative, recognizes our ongoing commitment to addressing health inequities among low-income families and communities in the Greater Boston area.

For nearly a decade, Life Science Cares, Inc. has leveraged partnerships with life science companies and executives to provide $20 million in grants to nonprofits addressing basic needs, education, and economic opportunity. This new Health Equity Grantmaking Program builds on that legacy, offering a strategic focus on disrupting health inequities in Boston’s most vulnerable communities.

The Health Equity Grant provides funding for two years, ranging from $15,000 to $45,000 per year, and is designed to support initiatives that align with LSC Boston’s three focus areas: safe homes and vibrant communities, equitable and dignified care, advocacy and civic wellness. The program is made possible through the generous investments of K2 HealthVentures and the Biogen Foundation, whose support ensures that grantees, including Link Health, receive both flexible funding and strategic connections to Boston’s life science industry.

“We are honored to be part of this incredible cohort of organizations dedicated to building a healthier and more equitable Boston,” said Dr. Alister Martin, Link Health’s CEO. “This grant enables us to further our mission of connecting underserved populations with access to care, resources, and advocacy to enhance community health outcomes.”

“At LSC Boston, we believe that the way to empower communities, reduce economic disparities, and create opportunities for everyone to be healthy and well is through coming together and making a collective impact,” said Kelly Brawn, Ph.D., head of programs and community engagement at Life Science Cares Boston. “Our new health equity grantmaking initiative further demonstrates this shared commitment of our industry partners and LSC Boston to build a healthier, more equitable Boston.”

As we step into this exciting chapter, we invite our partners, supporters, and the Greater Boston community to join us in creating meaningful change. Together, we can build a future where everyone has equitable access to the care they deserve.
